Preview

What does the free preview include?

Upload a screenplay and translate the first six pages at no charge. The preview shows formatting fidelity and translation quality before you purchase a full package.

Formats

Which file types are supported?

Upload Final Draft (.fdx), Fountain, or plain text for translation. PDF screenplay import is disabled by default. Exports include PDF, DOCX, Fountain, Final Draft, and TXT.

Turnaround

How long does a translation take?

Jobs run asynchronously in the background. Typical turnaround depends on script length. Short, Feature, and Series use the same AI pipeline. Progress updates appear in the Studio while the job runs.

Review

Do I need to review before sharing?

Yes. INTERCUT is designed for development review. Use the Review tab, bilingual viewer, and optional delivery approval gate before circulating exports to partners or funds.

Billing

Is this a subscription?

No. Short, Feature, and Series are one-time purchases. Series includes six episode uses; extra episodes or another Series pack add capacity. Receipts are available through Stripe and your Account page.

Refunds

Can I get a refund?

Unused packages may be reviewed for a refund within 14 days if you have not started the paid translation job. Once processing starts, refund availability changes except where law requires otherwise or INTERCUT failed to deliver. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. See the Terms.

Retention

How long are scripts kept?

Screenplay artifacts are automatically deleted or cryptographically shredded after 90 days unless you delete them earlier. Account purge is available from the Account page.

Ownership

Who owns the translation?

You keep your uploaded material. As between INTERCUT and you, you own the generated translation output to the extent permitted by law. INTERCUT keeps its software and platform. Details are in the Terms.

Confidentiality

Is my script confidential?

Yes, under the Terms. Ordinary customers do not need a separate NDA. INTERCUT may require an NDA for specific studio or enterprise accounts. INTERCUT uses OpenAI’s API and configures requests to minimize provider-side storage where supported. It does not claim that OpenAI retains nothing unless that has been separately verified.
